The feel-good effects of a cup of joe only skim the surface of coffee’s benefits. Studies have shown a range of perks correlated to coffee, including protection against cancer, increased longevity and weight loss, just to name a few. One study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology concluded that four cups of coffee each day may reduce the risk of death, from any cause, by about 16 percent. If that’s not a good enough reason to order that latte, we don’t know what is.
